Most dishwashers come in two sizes -45 cms and 60cms. Smaller dishwashers are compatible for a small family of two to four members. It is better to opt for a 60cms dishwasher as these offer better settings as compared to the smaller dishwashers. Generally, the dishwashers are equipped for 8 to12 settings. But if you opt for a portable dishwasher, then you may get 6 settings only.

Some of the recent dishwashers are using steam. So, these consume even lesser water and are termed as using green technology.
