The Ultimate Tourist is going to be shown on local cable channels the next few months. Each week the show will go to a different state and show all the attractions that it can fit into its hour long format. This week they pick up a copy of the Missouri travel guide and hit the back roads of Missouri. Each episode takes approximately two weeks to film and it is two weeks of hard work and travel. The episode this week actually took three weeks and the crew logged three thousand miles traveling around the state. There are two self propelled campers that house the entire crew and all of their equipment. This set up allows them the maximum mobility and it still has enough room to store all of the equipment. The crew has filmed as many as twenty attractions in one day, but the normal number is more like three. In a place like Branson where there are multiple attractions to film in one spot without travel they can naturally get more done. The travel between attractions is really where most of the time is eaten up, but they do a good job of getting every attraction they can in each episode.
