My six year old daughter sat down last evening to watch her 30 minutes of television and I was amazed at what she chose. I suddenly found myself, sitting next to her, watching Gummi Bears. Adventures of the Gummi Bears used to be one of my favorite 80s TV shows. Back in the 1980s, it was incredibly popular and I can remember staring at the TV in absolute awe at quite a few shows that have found their way back into the lives of our children. Suddenly, The Smurfs are popular once again. I find myself quickly remembering all of the names of the Smurfs and the human characters that had been introduced into their world. I would have never guessed that I’d be seeing them again. Who would have ever thought that some of the cartoon 80s TV shows would be for sale on DVD in the year 2010? Strolling the aisles of our local toy store this past holiday season, I was suddenly noticing Smurf figurines and some stuffed Alf toys.
Out of nowhere, some of our beloved 80s TV shows are being made into movies. The cartoon, Transformers, which had been incredibly loved back in my childhood has been made into a huge box office hit in recent years. Miami Vice was made into a movie. Those of us who grew up in the 80s and looked forward to our cartoons or our sitcoms remember how ‘clean’ they used to be. Families could sit down and watch TV together. I am more than proud to admit that I am a big movie buff. In fact, I love movies so much I try to see at least three to five movies per week. Without question, one of the best 2007 movies I watched was “Spiderman 3”. Although it fell a little short when compared to the first two Spiderman movies. 2007 was loaded with “third” movie sequels including: “Spiderman 3”, “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End”, “Shrek the Third” and “The Bourne Identity”. Like “Spiderman 3”, they were all good but not quite as good as their predecessors.

I need to put my shop on line and am looking in to E commerce software to help me to do this. I have a number of products and I already have existing customers that order from me regularly. Most E commerce software I have found seems to be about buying a box with the software in and getting a few weeks of help at the beginning via the phone and then your on your own. Plus I would have to set it all up myself.
Ideally I could find something that integrates all of that with some business management software. One of my biggest fears is that when I do go on line with my shops I will lose control of the business and the customer service that I pride myself on will be lost. If I could find a business management software programme that had E commerce with it I could keep it all tied in together and it would be much easier to manage and keep control of. If I could get it hosted too would be even better! I am looking at a company at the moment that was set up by someone that needed something similar and because he couldn’t find it went on a mission to build it himself. It seems to offer everything I need, E commerce, business management, web design and hosting plus a lot more. If it’s suitable I think it will be worth the extra cost because I can’t afford to cut corners on this launch and want to start as I mean to go on.
